About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end measurement framework for Greenlight’s devices business across Shopify and Amazon. Define KPIs, build reporting, and ensure clear view of device sales performance.
  • Measure the full funnel from ad impression to device purchase to subscriber conversion. Understand marketing inputs driving device sales and which device buyers become high-LTV subscribers.
  • Analyze paid performance across Amazon Ads and Shopify-driven channels. Evaluate ROAS, CAC, and payback period at the device level and recommend spend shifts.
  • Analyze Shopify storefront and Amazon product page funnels. Identify conversion leaks, variables driving lift in product, pricing, or creative, and proactively surface findings.
  • Build and own dbt models encoding business logic for the devices domain to power dashboards, reporting, and self-serve analytics.
  • Build and maintain Tableau dashboards for marketing and leadership on device sales, channel performance, and subscriber attach rates.
  • Use Claude fluently as a daily productivity tool for SQL acceleration, documentation, QA, and faster workflows. Share best practices for AI-assisted analytics.
  • Partner with devices marketing team to scope analytical problems and pressure-test ideas.
  • Identify and fix gaps in data quality, metric definitions, reporting coverage, and stakeholder understanding.
  • Proactively surface insights on what’s working, what isn’t, and opportunities without waiting to be asked.

Requirements

  • 4 to 8 years in a data or analytics role with direct experience in e-commerce or retail marketing analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify analytics and Amazon Seller Central or Amazon Ads.
  • Strong SQL skills for complex schemas; ability to build maintainable analytics logic.
  • Experience writing readable, well-structured Python (pandas) for data manipulation, automation, or scripting; fluid movement between SQL and Python.
  • Proficient with Claude or similar AI tools for analytical work, with ability to validate outputs.
  • Understanding of attribution models in marketplace context, experiment design, LTV, CAC, and payback period for hardware + subscription businesses.
  • Proactive ownership: spot gaps, scope work, drive to conclusions without needing management of backlog.
  • Ability to translate fuzzy business questions into clear analytical plans with right clarifying questions.
  • Strong communication: present findings to drive decisions, calibrate between charts and narratives for senior stakeholders.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Amazon Clean Room experience for privacy-safe audience analysis, overlap measurement, or closed-loop attribution.
  • Experience with Amazon DSP or Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) analytics.
  • Familiarity with Shopify analytics APIs or third-party Shopify reporting tools.
  • Background in hardware with recurring subscription (connected devices, wearables, smart home).
  • Hands-on experiment design: incrementality testing, geo tests, or A/B testing in e-commerce.
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse.
  • Experience mentoring or reviewing work of junior analysts.
