About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain .NET/C# Driver for MongoDB, MongoDB Entity Framework Provider, MongoDB OData integration, and MongoDB Analyzer.
  • Contribute to third-party open source libraries.
  • Test, deliver, and support libraries across multiple operating systems and MongoDB versions.
  • Collaborate with Product and Server teams on designs and specifications for new features.
  • Investigate bugs and support requests from customers.
  • Seek speaking or writing opportunities to engage developer community.
  • Mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience writing high-quality software.
  • Substantial experience in C#.
  • Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, networking, and concurrent programming.
  • Experience with databases (relational or non-relational).
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience contributing to open source projects.
  • Familiarity with latest .NET frameworks (ASP.NET Core, .NET Aspire, Native AOT, source generators, spans/memory).
  • Experience with MongoDB and document model.
  • Diversity of testing experience (unit, integration, end-to-end, performance).

Compensation

Base salary range: $126,000 - $248,000 USD, plus equity, stock purchase program, flexible PTO, parental leave, 401(k), health benefits.
