About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support Thyme Box, an internal care management platform used by 600+ care team members.
  • Plan, build, test, launch, and iterate on multiple product features.
  • Partner with Product to scope experiments and shape product ideas that improve member outcomes.
  • Collaborate with oncology leaders to solve evolving business problems through technical solutions.
  • Build technology that helps oncology care teams surface ancillary benefit programs and services efficiently.
  • Create intuitive interfaces for triaging patient touchpoints, including hospitalizations and chemotherapy changes.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including user inputs, to keep care teams up to date.
  • Own technical solutions and mentor junior engineers while fostering learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building, shipping, and supporting production software.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, early-stage environments and iterating quickly.
  • Strong web development experience, including single-page applications.
  • Experience with technologies similar to Vue.js, TypeScript, FastAPI, Python, and PostgreSQL.
  • Ownership of features from ideation through production, including design, implementation, testing, and ongoing improvement.
  • Effective collaboration with engineering, product, and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience deploying and operating services in a cloud environment.
  • Fundamental understanding of networking.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation.
  • Experience with user interface design.

Nice to Have

  • Experience using or contributing to AI tooling for developer productivity, code quality, or engineering practices.
  • Healthcare or health technology experience.
  • Experience with AWS and similar cloud technologies.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $165,000-$185,000.
  • Total compensation also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities.
  • Individual pay is based on qualifications, experience, skill set, and internal equity.
