About the role

What You'll Do

  • Define the product strategy for Games Ecosystem, including how games fit into Reddit's communities, creator platform, and long-term growth strategy.
  • Identify the highest-leverage opportunities across player experience, community participation, creator/developer enablement, game discovery, retention, and ecosystem quality.
  • Build a roadmap that balances consumer-facing experiences, community-native features, creator/developer tools, platform capabilities, and ecosystem programs.
  • Help communities become richer destinations for game-related participation, including discussion, identity, events, social play, creator content, and other repeatable engagement loops.
  • Improve how high-quality games and game-adjacent experiences are discovered, distributed, and revisited across Reddit.
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, Data, ML/ranking, DevRel, Community, Partnerships, Trust/Safety, Policy, and other teams to ship durable ecosystem improvements.
  • Work with creators, developers, studios, moderators, and community builders to understand what makes games successful on Reddit and where the platform is creating friction.
  • Define the right measurement framework for player value, community value, builder success, experience quality, retention, discovery, and ecosystem health.
  • Create clear investment frameworks that help leadership decide when to build natively, support creators/developers, partner externally, improve platform primitives, or stop lower-impact work.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity and help them move from broad strategy to concrete shipped product.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience leading ambiguous product strategy in games, communities, creator ecosystems, developer platforms, social products, marketplaces, entertainment, or consumer growth.
  • Strong product sense for what makes games and game-adjacent experiences compelling, repeatable, social, and community-native.
  • Ability to reason across multiple sides of an ecosystem: players, fans, communities, moderators, creators, developers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Comfort with both consumer product questions and technical platform questions, even if your background is deeper in one than the other.
  • Experience using qualitative and quantitative evidence to identify opportunities, prioritize investments, and measure whether a product loop is working.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Community, DevRel, Partnerships, Policy, Trust/Safety, and senior leadership.
  • Excellent written communication and decision frameworks that help teams align around ambiguous opportunities.
  • Curiosity about games, fandoms, creator tools, AI-assisted creation, developer ecosystems, online communities, and the future of participatory entertainment.
