Senior Software Engineer, Internal Tools

What You'll Do

• Design and build internal applications and dashboards for self-service visibility into data and workflows.
• Connect SaaS systems and APIs; build reliable automations to eliminate manual work across go-to-market, operations, finance, and support teams.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, reporting layers, and internal data access tools.
• Own the internal platform, developer experience, deploy tooling, and shared services.
• Partner with business stakeholders to scope problems, prioritize, and ship high-impact solutions.
• Apply AI and LLMs to internal tooling, including automations, copilots, assistants, and use AI coding tools to ship faster.
• Set standards for security, reliability, and maintainability in internal software.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production systems end-to-end.
• Strong full-stack ability: building backend services/APIs and functional internal UIs/dashboards.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and SaaS platforms; building automations and data flows.
• Solid grounding in data: SQL, building pipelines, and modeling data for reporting and internal access.
• Cloud and deployment fluency to stand up, deploy, and operate services.
• Pragmatic, business-minded approach optimizing for impact and time-to-value; clear communication with non-engineering stakeholders.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ownership to drive loosely defined problems to shipped solutions.
• Demonstrable hands-on AI experience: using AI coding tools daily and integrating LLMs/AI APIs into shipped software (must show concrete examples, projects, demos, or walkthroughs).

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience building internal tools or business systems at a high-growth SaaS company.
• Familiarity with identity, access management, or security tooling.
• Experience with low-code/internal-tool frameworks (e.g. Retool) alongside custom development.
• Exposure to common GTM and ops systems (CRM, billing, support, data warehouse).
