Design Engineer, Web

Responsibilities

• Own implementation of design system components and page templates across web properties, focusing on interactive pages, data visualizations, and tools
• Work within headless CMS architecture, maintaining content modeling, structured data workflows, and publishing experience
• Collaborate closely with designers to bridge static design and interactive web experiences
• Contribute to internal tools for authoring, managing, and publishing content at scale
• Participate in migrations and site architecture projects
• Move quickly from concept to working prototype, iterating with the team
• Support tooling and workflow improvements, contribute to documentation

Requirements

• Solid experience with modern frontend frameworks, particularly Next.js or similar React-based tooling
• Strong CSS skills for implementing complex layouts, animations, and interactive experiences
• Hands-on experience with headless CMS platforms, content modeling, and structured data workflows
• Experience building internal tools or improving team workflows
• Ability to prototype quickly and iterate from idea to proof-of-concept
• Clear communication with designers and engineers, focus on technically sound and visually refined work
• Track record contributing to production web properties at mid-level scope

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows
• Interest in generative or programmatic design
• Familiarity with localization or internationalization systems
