Software Engineer - Embedded Systems
Develop and port autonomous software across automotive embedded platforms, bringing up hardware and optimizing perception systems. The role requires 5+ years of C/C++ experience in POSIX and RTOS environments, with strong knowledge of QNX, Linux, SoCs, and low-level hardware acceleration.

Responsibilities
- Develop and debug the autonomous stack on embedded compute platforms.
- Design, develop, and port autonomous software modules across different system-on-chip platforms.
- Bring up new embedded hardware and software alongside machine learning, vehicle applications, and Vehicle OS engineers.
- Work closely with machine learning engineers to optimize perception models for embedded performance.
- Interface with automotive middleware and communication protocols, including IPC, Ethernet, and DDS.
- Support vehicle operations, Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setups.
- Leverage AI-accelerated development tools and workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with C/C++ on POSIX and RTOS environments.
- Direct experience with automotive SoCs, such as NVIDIA Orin or Qualcomm Snapdragon Ride.
- Strong low-level understanding of hardware accelerators, including encoders, DSPs, and GPUs.
- Deep knowledge of operating systems, specifically QNX and Linux.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, hardware debuggers, and flashing interfaces.
Nice-to-haves
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience with ADAS or autonomous driving systems.
- Machine learning experience, ideally in perception.
- Full product-cycle experience from first prototype to series production.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262, ASIL, or MISRA C++.
