About the role
Responsibilities
Own entire project lifecycles for Federal customers, proactively engaging and aligning internal and external stakeholders to ensure on-time and on-target delivery of Nominal’s technology.
Translate technical and bureaucratic complexity into actionable program plans with clear objectives traceable to mission impact, strategic impact, financial outcomes, and program objectives.
Deploy and integrate Nominal's technology into high-stakes US Government-managed networks and environments.
Build and maintain deep partnerships with US government stakeholders and integration partners, acting as a program manager and product expert.
Provide training and support to users, ensuring they can leverage the products to their full potential.
Gather user feedback and translate it into actionable insights for continuous product improvement.
Identify and solve operational issues with autonomy to keep technology ahead of the curve.
Serve as the bridge between Nominal and customers, translating needs into solutions and ensuring seamless collaboration.
Requirements
5+ years of professional experience in technical project management or managing product development lifecycles, with experience developing project plans, milestones, timelines, interdependencies, managing risks, and delivering results.
Solid track record working inside of or with the Federal government (ideally Department of Defense), understanding regulations, rules, and policies and how to navigate bureaucracy.
Strong communication and influence skills, able to articulate complex ideas clearly, engage with senior civilian and military leaders, and produce compelling written deliverables like status reports and white papers.
Strong technical intuition for systems thinking, math, and physics relevant to customers (e.g., propulsion test stands, satellite operations, flight testing, autonomy).
Experience leading and coordinating cross-functional teams, often without direct reports, with humility, eagerness to learn, and empathy.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS Clearance.
Eligible for ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
Nice-to-Haves
Experience as a government program manager, consultant, customer success leader, or technical program manager.
Previous experience deploying software products on US government networks, navigating Information Assurance and cybersecurity compliance.
Hands-on experience in hardware engineering environments like propulsion test stands, satellite mission operations, flight testing, or autonomy development.
Direct experience with federal acquisition regulations, government contracting, or formal test and evaluation processes.
Compensation
Base pay range: $150,000 – $210,000 per year.
