Responsibilities
Define electrical scopes of work with customers and estimating teams for custom power, control, and modular building solutions.
Translate customer requirements into technical specifications.
Prepare cost estimates and technical proposals aligned with manufacturing capabilities.
Create preliminary electrical design documents, including one-line diagrams, control schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs).
Review vendor bid packages and submittals to verify material accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
Specify and size electrical components according to applicable codes and project guidelines.
Coordinate the transition from proposal and submittal stages to design engineering with Estimating, Project Management, and Design Engineering teams.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, construction, or project environment.
At least 1 year of experience in applications, project estimating, or technical sales.
Strong understanding of low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution systems, control panels, and associated equipment.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant industry standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-aided design (CAD) software for electrical schematics and one-line diagrams.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to participate in required drug and alcohol programs for safety-sensitive work.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with modular building construction, industrial controls, and automation systems.
Familiarity with UL standards and compliance requirements.
Experience with QA/QC, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and related technical documentation.
