About the role
Responsibilities
Support development and enhancement of BSA/AML models, including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, customer risk rating, and blockchain analytics.
Conduct ad hoc analyses and respond to time-sensitive data requests from auditors, regulators, or Compliance teams.
Drive automation of key compliance processes like KYC, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity reporting.
Experiment with and deploy AI solutions to improve efficiency.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering) to implement tools and processes.
Contribute to process improvements, code review, testing, project management, and documentation for FCC Analytics team.
Requirements
2–3 years of experience in data analytics or data science, with understanding of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and financial services.
Expert in compliance-related data tables and models; advanced SQL (CTEs, window functions, complex joins, query optimization).
Proficient in data tools like SQL, Looker, advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
Experience with automation and AI tools.
Strong understanding of business models (custody, staking, stablecoins, trading) and data flows.
Ability to manage competing priorities, present findings effectively.

Experience in financial services, crypto, startups.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance, financial crimes, risk management.
dbt, Git, Python/scripting, software engineering best practices.
