About the role
Responsibilities
Write, test, and maintain high-quality code examples, recipes, and documentation in the Tinker cookbook.
Work directly with users to debug technical issues and optimize fine-tuning pipelines.
Partner with research and infrastructure teams to identify and prioritize developer experience improvements.
Build tools, integrations, and demos that reduce user friction and simplify model experimentation and deployment.
Share user insights through posts, guides, and talks.
Help develop Tinker’s near-term roadmap and long-term product strategy.
Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
Experience fine-tuning large language models with supervised and reinforcement learning.
Experience tuning hyperparameters for fine-tuning algorithms.
Experience developing software libraries, especially open-source libraries.
Thoughtful approach to developer experience, developer ergonomics, onboarding flows, and usability.
Passion for engaging with open-source communities through code contributions, technical support, or knowledge sharing.
Experience writing public or internal code examples, tutorials, or papers that help others understand and apply technical concepts.
Ability to reason about model training, fine-tuning, and inference, including tradeoffs between approaches.
Compensation and Benefits
Expected annual salary: $350,000–$475,000 USD, depending on background, skills, and experience.
This role drives adoption of Anthropic’s developer products through technical content, community engagement, events, and cross-functional product feedback. It requires 5+ years in developer relations, developer experience, or technical product/engineering work, strong AI/ML and API fluency, and production-quality coding ability.
