Software Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• Join a small, collaborative Figma engineering team and contribute to projects aligned with team goals.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and QA to break down features and plan timelines.
• Build, document, and maintain tests, features, or infrastructure.
• Participate in peer code reviews and share feedback.
• Ship project work by the end of the internship.

Engineering Areas

• Product: Build full-stack, user-facing features such as collaboration tools, product workflows, and growth experiments.
• Platform/Infrastructure: Build distributed systems, developer tooling, and performance and scalability solutions.
• Security Engineering: Build security-focused systems, product security tooling, detection capabilities, secure infrastructure, or privacy and security features.

Requirements

• Experience writing clean code in at least one general-purpose programming language, such as C++, JavaScript, Python, or Java.
• Solid understanding of computer science concepts, including data structures and algorithms.
• Experience solving technical problems through school, work, or personal projects.
• Interest in how systems are designed and operate, from infrastructure to user interfaces.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with curiosity and willingness to ask questions, receive feedback, and grow.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly base pay: $55–$55 USD.
• Housing stipend and travel reimbursement are available for interns.
