About the role

Responsibilities

  • Dive deep into existing stack (Golang, TypeScript, React Native) to ship critical features for Specialist Visits product.
  • Establish initial engineering standards and build trust with cross-functional partners.

  • Mentor senior engineers, raising the technical bar.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of non-internship software engineering experience building scalable backend systems and microservices.
  • Expert full stack proficiency: React.js, React Native, Golang (or similar), TypeScript.
  • Proven track record architecting scalable APIs (REST or gRPC) and data models.
  • Experience leading technical execution in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in rapid-growth, 0-to-1 environments.
  • Deep familiarity with: React Native, React, Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, GraphQL, Docker, Golang, AWS, Postgres, Temporal, gRPC.
  • Designing integration-heavy systems (e.g., hospital systems, health plans).
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance tech, or high-compliance industries (HIPAA, SOC 2).
