About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build new products and features for Watershed’s biggest customers and most complex use cases
  • Build a sandboxed agentic workflow that translates emissions reductions scenarios from natural language into repeatable data transformations
  • Build a full-stack application to manage supply chain data, including data upload, AI model orchestration, and integration with the rest of Watershed’s platform
  • Build a new data model to extend our core backing database and expose more granular emissions breakdowns to customers
  • Work across the full stack, with an emphasis on back-end systems and data models
  • Partner with Product Management and Design to understand user workflows and needs and translate them into technical solutions
  • Partner with AI engineers and climate scientists to build ergonomic and trustworthy agentic workflows
  • Lead by example by writing performant, well-crafted, extensible, and maintainable code

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering industry experience across both front-end and back-end, with an emphasis on back-end
  • Track record of ownership and high-impact projects
  • Experience building early-stage products
  • Experience with, or interest in, building AI-powered and data-centric products
  • Mission-driven and excited to build products that will help companies reduce their emissions
