Quality Assurance Engineer
The Automation Quality Assurance Engineer develops and maintains end-to-end functional and non-functional test automation while performing manual and exploratory testing. The role requires at least two years of QA experience, programming proficiency, web and API testing knowledge, and Agile/Scrum experience.

Responsibilities
- Participate in QA activities across the Scrum workflow, including requirements analysis, test design, automation, manual testing, and release support.
- Test new features end to end, perform exploratory testing, and report defects with reproducible steps.
- Develop end-to-end functional and non-functional test suites using Ruby.
- Maintain, optimize, and refactor automated tests for stability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with software and test engineers and product managers.
- Identify, document, monitor, and triage defects, including production issues.
- Contribute to requirements refinement, story grooming, code reviews, and automation best practices.
- Prepare quality reports and maintain test documentation and traceability.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in manual and automated QA.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming with Python or JavaScript; Ruby experience is a strong plus.
- Understanding and practical application of software testing methodologies.
- Experience designing scalable, maintainable test cases and automation frameworks.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, REST APIs, and basic SQL.
- Experience with Git and automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Ability to prepare test plans, test cases, test scripts, reports, and technical documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Ruby testing ecosystem experience, including Capybara, SitePrism, and HTTP client gems.
- Experience with RSpec, Cucumber, or MiniTest.
- Performance testing and performance analysis experience.
- Familiarity with Watir, HTTParty, Faraday, REST Client, and Appium.
- Experience using Linear Tracker.
- Exposure to PCI and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Familiarity with FHIR.
Compensation
- Annual base compensation range: $637,300–$796,600 MXN.
- Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission; some roles may be eligible for overtime pay.
