Responsibilities
- Build software solutions that improve network resilience and reduce engineering operational toil.
- Develop and maintain tools, infrastructure, and services that solve problems efficiently and deliver practical, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
- Leverage AI tools and automated assistants to streamline daily workflows.
- Work with internal and external customer requirements and expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience developing software components for network automation.
- Understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and programming languages such as Python and Go.
- Proficiency with modern Unix/Linux operating systems and distributions.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, or equivalent SQL technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD, containers, and/or virtualization.
- Experience with observability systems such as Prometheus and Grafana, or equivalent tools.
- Experience working with AI assistants or automated tools to augment task execution and project delivery.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of networking engineering, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols and vendor equipment such as Cisco and Juniper.
- Experience building and maintaining large distributed systems.
- Experience managing internal and/or external customer requirements and expectations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Portugal-based hires: estimated annual salary of €54,000–€68,000.
