About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy, vision, roadmap, and success metrics for Docker’s AI & Agent Platform, making tradeoff decisions on what to build.
  • Build the platform from zero: write first specs, prototype with engineering, validate with customers, and iterate rapidly.
  • Drive products from conception through delivery: write requirements, scope and prioritize with engineering, ship iteratively, and measure outcomes.
  • Define how the agentic ecosystem fits together, including secure execution, tool connectivity, model access, governance, and observability.
  • Ensure the platform serves developers, platform teams, and enterprise operators.
  • Define intuitive developer experiences across CLI, IDE, and CI pipelines.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally for coherent product experiences and GTM alignment.
  • Partner with engineering leadership on architecture decisions and technical tradeoffs.
  • Engage directly with customers and partners to represent their voice in product decisions.
  • Overcome blockers and find paths forward in ambiguous situations.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years on developer tools, infrastructure, or platform products.
  • Deep technical fluency: able to read architecture diagrams, understand container/VM runtimes, AI agents, LLMs, and tool connectivity protocols.
  • Proven ability to ship 0-to-1 products in fast-moving environments.
  • Builder mentality: prototype, sketch architectures, test early ideas with customers.
  • Strong product sense and UX instincts, especially for developer experience (API design, CLI, error messages).
  • Strategic thinking paired with execution follow-through; able to set multi-year vision and write next-sprint specs.
  • Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-evolving space.
  • Excellent communication skills across product briefs, executive presentations, and technical debates.
  • Experience growing and monetizing products to scale, including pricing, packaging, and GTM.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in containers, cloud-native, or DevOps space.
  • Experience with AI/ML developer tooling or the agentic AI ecosystem.
  • Contributions to open source projects.
  • Experience building and scaling a business from zero to significant ARR.

What You’ll Work With

  • Secure, isolated execution environments (microVMs, containers, sandboxing).
  • Agent-to-tool connectivity and protocol standards (MCP and beyond).
  • AI model serving and inference infrastructure.
  • Governance, policy enforcement, and audit controls.
  • Local-to-cloud execution and workload portability.
  • Developer CLIs, SDKs, and platform APIs.
  • Container runtimes, image registries, and build systems.
