About the role

Responsibilities

Global O2C Strategy & Transformation

  • Contribute to the vision, roadmap, and execution of Anthropic's global order-to-cash transformation, spanning order management, provisioning, billing, invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition.
  • Assess the current state end-to-end, identify structural constraints on scale, and sequence a prioritized program of work with clear milestones, owners, and measurable outcomes.
  • Build operating metrics and reporting that make O2C performance legible to leadership — cycle times, error and rework rates, touchless transaction rates, revenue leakage, and cost to serve.
  • Serve as the senior operational voice in commercial and pricing workflows, translating business needs into transactable, billable, and recognizable outcomes.

Process Design & Operational Excellence

  • Design scalable, controlled processes from the ground up using structured process design and continuous improvement methodology.
  • Standardize and harmonize O2C processes globally across regions, entities, channels, and business models, eliminating one-off exceptions.
  • Establish clear operating rhythms, escalation paths, and service levels across the quote-to-cash lifecycle with scalable documentation.
  • Build operational infrastructure to absorb order-of-magnitude growth without proportional headcount increase.
  • Embed compliance monitoring (including SOX controls) into systems so controls scale with volume.

Systems, Automation & AI

  • Drive O2C systems architecture and roadmap in partnership with leadership, Engineering, and GTM Systems; define requirements and prioritize scalable solutions.
  • Deploy AI and automation for leverage: automated exception handling, reconciliation, self-service reporting, anomaly detection, and continuous control monitoring.
  • Lead global automation strategy across billing, contracting, and ERP platforms; drive implementations and migrations.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Drive alignment and results across Revenue Accounting, Deal Desk, GTM Systems, Sales Operations, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and Engineering without direct authority.
  • Partner with operations teams to set standards, develop talent, and scale capacity via employees, contractors, and partners.
  • Communicate progress, trade-offs, risks, and decisions to executive stakeholders; surface issues early with recommended paths forward.

Requirements

  • 10+ years leading operational transformations in Revenue Operations, Billing Operations, or finance operational teams at high-growth SaaS/technology companies, with cross-functional leadership experience.
  • Expert understanding of process design, cross-functional project management, scaling systems, and using AI for automation, reporting, and compliance.
  • Project management certification (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Expert understanding of quote-to-cash processes for SaaS, including subscription and consumption-based B2B models.
  • Extensive experience with contracting systems, billing platforms, and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, Stripe, NetSuite, Oracle, Workday Financials, Zuora).
  • Proven track record leading large-scale strategic and automation initiatives end-to-end.
  • Experience building and developing operations teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience serving both B2C and B2B customers, especially with consumption-based and subscription billing models through collections.
  • Experience with go-to-market, deal desk, and revenue operations organizations.
  • Experience designing processes with robust internal controls, segregation of duties, and financial transaction flows in high-growth environments.
  • Understanding of AI industry business models and enterprise customer needs.
