Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop internal visual standards for work boards, JIRA queues, Power BI dashboards, and department workflows.
• Enhance maintenance programs by increasing attention on poor-health hardware and removing unnecessary work.
• Support continuous improvement projects, including new process rollouts and standardization.
• Integrate with all levels of the business to understand workflows and identify systematic gaps.
• Define and develop department-level metrics and dashboards that quantify operational health and influence change.
• Conduct analyses using SQL queries and other data-analysis methods to identify problems and trends for decision-making.
• Create reports, tools, and standardized metrics for operational measurement and improvement.
• Develop automation that mitigates business risk or creates efficiencies.
• Conduct department-wide operations audits to streamline repair, maintenance, and construction engineering teams.
• Implement construction management or maintenance tools to reduce wasted effort by engineers and technicians.
• Analyze site services spending, including custodial services, utilities, and waste, and develop improvement roadmaps.
• Build communication tools and reports for factory workcell directors.
• Standardize material libraries and procurement processes to reduce project lead times.
• Align maintenance and construction teams across company sites to reduce duplicated work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in operations or process improvement; internship experience qualifies.
• Experience with Excel, SQL, or Python.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in a critical manufacturing, data center, or production environment.
• Proficiency with statistics, data analysis, data visualization, and cost-benefit analysis.
• Experience with CAD software, ArcGIS, Archibus, Power BI, and JIRA.
• Familiarity with inventory, production, and capacity planning, including MRP/ERP systems.
• Experience with lean, Six Sigma, or related production principles.
• Experience or education in management science and engineering, operations engineering, operations research, or industrial engineering.
• Experience contributing to multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
