About the role

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate insurance claims to determine coverage and appropriate settlement amounts
  • Review insurance policies to accurately interpret coverage terms and conditions
  • Negotiate claims settlements effectively, ensuring resolutions are fair, timely, and consistent with company standards
  • Maintain comprehensive and precise claim documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Process incoming claims, making necessary adjustments and recommendations based on findings
  • Communicate professionally with landlords, tenants, internal stakeholders, and other relevant parties
  • Support legal processes including document preparation, analysis, and regulatory compliance activities
  • Manage workload proactively to meet productivity targets and turnaround time expectations
  • Identify opportunities to improve claims workflows, documentation practices, or operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated ability to evaluate complex claims information and reach sound conclusions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of work, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, regulated environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy and compliance

Nice-to-Haves

  • Prior experience in insurance claims adjustment or a related insurance role
  • Experience working in a high-growth, regulated, or insurtech environment
  • Familiarity with claims management systems, policy administration platforms, or related insurance technology tools
  • Experience with property and casualty insurance products, lease guarantee products, or landlord/tenant claims
  • Additional education, certification, or training in insurance, risk management, or a related field (e.g., CPCU, AIC)
  • Prior experience supporting legal or compliance processes related to claims

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $60,000 - $65,000 annually
