Product Manager, People to Meet
Leads product strategy, roadmap development, launches, and customer-facing positioning for Airbnb’s People to Meet social Experiences category. The role requires 8+ years of product management or product marketing experience, consumer social or marketplace expertise, and hands-on leadership across product, marketing, communications, and research.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a product vision, strategy, and roadmap for People to Meet across guest and host journeys.
- Translate guest, host, and partner feedback into product features and positioning, including profiles, identity, discovery, messaging, and post-event connection.
- Develop public-facing messaging and narratives for People to Meet and communicate the value proposition to guests, hosts, and media.
- Align product teams and cross-functional partners across marketing, communications, research, and product marketing.
- Grow and shape the supply of social formats by partnering with hosts and creators to design repeatable, high-quality experiences.
- Own the guest connection experience before, during, and after events while balancing scale with social intimacy.
- Champion trust, safety, and privacy as core product responsibilities.
- Maintain a healthy storefront and high quality bar across People to Meet listings.
- Make user-focused prioritization decisions and execute efficiently to ship products and deliver impact.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management and/or product marketing experience.
- Experience creating product messaging and positioning and delivering it to customers and media.
- Subject-matter expertise, ideally in consumer social, community, events, or marketplace businesses.
- Experience building social or community products, including profiles and identity, matching and discovery, messaging, and repeat connection.
- Fluency in two-sided marketplace dynamics, including supply and demand, cold-start challenges, network effects, and repeat engagement.
- Understanding of trust and safety and privacy-by-design principles for real-world connections.
- Experience gathering requirements and documenting clear specifications for engineering, design, research, and partners.
- Ability to build compelling customer-focused stories and partner with marketing and communications.
- Demonstrated product leadership in cross-functional environments.
- Experience building and scaling global consumer products, marketplaces, or ecosystems.
- Entrepreneurial track record of taking ideas from concept to reality.
- Experience with consumer products that drive significant engagement and revenue.
- Strong data analysis and business analysis skills to support product strategy and go-to-market decisions.
- Ability to drive execution across teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to perform hands-on individual-contributor product and product marketing work.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently, including domestically and internationally.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base pay range: $200,000–$240,000 USD.
- May be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
