DevOps Engineer

The DevOps Engineer will design secure CI/CD pipelines, automate application delivery, and manage cloud infrastructure across development, testing, and production environments. The role requires 4+ years of DevOps experience, strong networking knowledge, and expertise with Kubernetes, Jenkins, scripting, and major cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure CI/CD pipelines.
  • Create architecture diagrams, documentation, and standards for DevOps processes and tools.
  • Automate development, testing, release, and application deployment into runtime environments.
  • Define security best practices to support application security early in development.
  • Design and manage decoupled environments for independent application and infrastructure development.
  • Assess and optimize the technology stack against industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams.
  • Mentor fellow engineers in DevOps responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
  • 4+ years of DevOps engineering experience.
  • Ability to work with people across various locations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in programming and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Ubuntu, Kubernetes, Cassandra, Shell scripting, and Python scripting.
  • Experience managing infrastructure and application deployments across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery patterns.
  • Strong networking experience with TCP/IP, WAN, gateways, switching/routing, and cloud networking.
  • Experience with virtualization or container environments such as VMware, KVM, and Docker.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Experience with configuration and provisioning tools such as Chef and Ansible.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Observe, Sensu, and Prometheus.
  • Experience with logging and analytics tools such as Elasticsearch.
