Senior Mobile Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support easy-to-use React and TypeScript applications.
• Make and implement technology decisions that support business needs without compromising security, privacy, or quality.
• Enhance existing systems with new functionality and improve performance, stability, quality, and security.
• Set standards for accessibility and design-system use.
• Advocate for high standards, improve developer quality of life, and limit technical debt.
• Build deep user empathy and maintain a user-centric mindset.
• Communicate effectively within and on behalf of cross-functional product delivery teams, collaborating with design, product, machine learning, and infrastructure.
• Mentor and learn from other engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building, shipping, and supporting web applications.
• 5+ years of experience with React.
• Independently deliver a small web application or an entire feature in a larger web application.
• Excitement about working with a mobile technology stack including React, TypeScript, and potentially Electron.
• Ability to work autonomously and self-direct while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Willingness to contribute wherever needed in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Comfort working across domains and languages, with curiosity to experiment and learn.
• Deep expertise using AI tools to accelerate engineering workflows.

Nice to Have

• Experience with audio playback.
• Experience with audio recording.
• Experience with file encryption.
• Experience supporting online and offline modes.

Compensation and Benefits
