Responsibilities
Strategic Technical Alliance Leadership
- Serve as the primary technical leader and advocate for the Sigma Computing/Databricks strategic alliance
- Drive mutual success of joint customers by ensuring seamless technical integration, optimal performance, and maximized utilization of the Databricks platform and Sigma
Deepen and Expand Stakeholder Relationships
- Cultivate and maintain robust technical relationships with key personnel at Databricks (Product Management, Partner Leadership, Solution Engineering, Sales teams)
- Ensure strategic alignment, drive co-innovation, and facilitate joint account mapping
Joint Go-to-Market (GTM) Enablement and Execution
- Collaborate with Sigma's GTM teams to identify, qualify, and technically support strategic joint customer opportunities
- Develop and champion compelling technical GTM solutions, reference architectures, and partner-facing enablement content (training, workshops, internal demos)
Platform Integration and Future-Proofing
- Proactively identify and scope high-value joint product opportunities
- Facilitate handoff to the Partner Architect team for deeper technical engagement and development
Cross-Functional Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME)
- Act as the internal authority on the Databricks platform
- Provide expert technical guidance and training to Sigma's Sales Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams on best practices for leveraging Databricks features with Sigma
- Own creation and maintenance of technical resources for the field, including deep-dive enablement sessions (HOLs, workshops)
Content and Event Technical Leadership
- Lead technical creation of joint thought-leadership content (webinars, blogs, solution briefs, demo vignettes, presentations)
- Represent at major industry events (Data and AI Summit, Data and AI World Tours)
- Coordinate with Marketing and Demo Engineering teams for high-quality technical representation
Advanced Solution Development
- Identify, design, and evangelize high-value, industry-specific technical solutions leveraging combined capabilities of Sigma and Databricks
- Work with internal teams, Systems Integrator partners, and Databricks Industry Leads and Field CTOs
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a highly technical customer-facing or partner-focused role (Technical Alliance Management, Solution Engineering, Product Management, or Technical Consulting)
- Deep and current hands-on experience with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform (mandatory) — core architecture, features, and ecosystem integrations
- Strong technical background in data analytics, data warehousing, business intelligence, and cloud data platforms
- Prior experience working with BI and Analytics platforms (required); experience with Sigma Computing (a plus)
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong, mutually beneficial technical relationships with key stakeholders at major partner organizations
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills — translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling business value for technical and non-technical executive audiences
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment and can manage multiple priorities independently
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for partner/customer engagements and company/industry events
