About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR partner for the Pleasant Prairie Fulfillment Center, advising leadership on all people-related matters.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle for the workforce, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
- Lead employee relations efforts, conducting investigations, mediating conflicts, and ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
- Drive HR program implementation at the site level, including performance reviews, compensation cycles, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and Flexport policies within the fulfillment center.
- Analyze HR data to identify trends, recommend solutions, and contribute to site-specific HR strategies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an onsite operational environment (e.g., fulfillment center, manufacturing, warehouse).
- Proven expertise in employee relations, labor law compliance, and HR best practices for non-exempt workforces.
- Strong ability to partner with and influence site leadership to achieve business and people objectives.
- Experience managing HR functions independently for a specific site or business unit.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- A 'compliance first' attitude.
