About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build GTM Tooling: Develop internal tools on Retool's internal instance supporting pipeline generation, deal execution, and customer expansion workflows
  • Build Demo Tooling and Infrastructure: Develop and maintain technical infrastructure for demo motion, including demo applications, sandbox environments, and sample data sources
  • Establish and Enforce Standards: Define standards for internal Retool application development including documentation, maintenance, code quality, and testing; audit existing tools for technical debt, security vulnerabilities, and ownership
  • Document and Ship Best Practices: Gather feedback from GTM teams and document best practices; contribute to internal Center of Excellence and run enablements
  • Advance Knowledge Systems: Consolidate and standardize documentation, improve discoverability of internal knowledge, and develop training programs to increase Retool and AI fluency
  • Experiment and Prototype Innovations: Test new platform capabilities, productionize experiments from hackathons and crowd-sourced solutions, and implement AI into GTM workflows
  • Nurture Cross-Functional Relationships: Partner with GTM, EPD, and G&A teams to understand priorities and deliver solutions

Requirements

  • 2-4+ years in a GTM-adjacent technical role (GTM Engineering, Revenue Operations, Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, or software engineering applied to GTM)
  • Deep experience with Retool including advanced patterns, performance optimization, and enterprise-scale implementations
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, SQL, React, or similar languages
  • Experience working with databases (Postgres, Databricks), GTM tools (Salesforce, Chilipiper, Outreach), APIs, and data modeling
  • Ability to design systems enabling distributed ownership while maintaining consistency
  • Experience establishing engineering standards, documentation practices, and quality frameworks
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and drive initiatives from zero to one
