Senior Software Engineer - Messaging

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the team and organization’s long-term technical strategy.
• Refine and maintain messaging infrastructure supporting asynchronous communication among services serving hundreds of millions of users.
• Own managed and self-hosted infrastructure supporting produce and consume requests.
• Build tooling and automation to efficiently operate messaging infrastructure.
• Partner with engineering, data science, machine learning, and product stakeholders to develop scalable technical solutions.
• Maintain high availability and reliability across the product portfolio.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building internet-scale software, preferably focused on machine learning storage infrastructure.
• Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages, including Golang, Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience working with Kafka and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience implementing features, optimizations, and bug fixes for distributed messaging systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Strimzi.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary range: $190,800–$267,100 USD.
