About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver full-system, application-level software features spanning software and hardware in C/C++, meeting customer requirements.
  • Develop end-to-end software integrations in C/C++, including matrix headlight control, smart vehicle access via mobile app integration, and in-car voice assistant functionality.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware and electrical teams to develop and deploy systems that enable custom software feature integration for intelligent vehicles.
  • Build a deep understanding of automotive system architecture and interactions between software and hardware components.
  • Design and bring up test rigs for end-to-end system testing and on-vehicle validation.
  • Debug, test, and troubleshoot integrations between software components to ensure reliability and system performance.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Graduation in December 2026 or Spring 2027.
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++.
  • Understanding of electronic systems and how to set up and debug them.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience on a collegiate vehicle team, such as FSAE or Solar Car.
  • Foundational knowledge of automotive electronics, including schematic reading, network topology, or system architecture.
  • Familiarity with electronic control systems and debugging tools, including embedded systems and Arduino.
  • Experience developing firmware for automotive subsystems such as lighting, latches, lock motors, powertrain, or mechanical systems.

Compensation

  • Salary range: $123,000–$158,000 annually.
