Responsibilities
Review purchase requisitions and orders to ensure proper CAPEX vs. OPEX classification.
Track and reconcile capital expenditures by project.
Partner with Project Managers, Finance, Procurement, and Operations to identify and capitalize in-service project assets.
Reconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger.
Prepare and reconcile monthly and year-to-date PP&E roll-forwards across consolidated legal entities.
Prepare deposit and Construction-in-Progress (CIP) reconciliations.
Prepare and record monthly close journal entries.
Support monthly reporting and fluctuation analysis.
Collaborate with the Tax team on property tax general ledger reconciliations and monthly accruals.
Support audit and due diligence requests.
Identify process improvements and drive efficiency.
Requirements
4–6 years of combined fixed asset and general ledger accounting experience.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Solid understanding of GAAP as it relates to CAPEX versus OPEX treatment.
Working knowledge of internal controls and accounting best practices.
Understanding of consolidations, joint ventures, and intercompany transactions.
Exposure to month-end financial reporting processes.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data.
Ability to work independently, take ownership, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
