About the role
Responsibilities
Set the strategy and point of view for how developers and agents learn to be successful on Convex.
Lead and grow the developer experience team, and build out documentation as a function over time.
Own the Convex documentation and information architecture, ensuring the product remains legible from a developer’s first day through expert use, for humans and agents alike.
Craft writing and developer narratives that shape how people understand Convex, including blog content and product explanations.
Work closely with engineering and founders to turn shipped product capabilities into learnable material.
Requirements
Demonstrated experience writing developer documentation or technical content relied on by real developers, with work samples.
Experience leading a team, ideally in developer-facing or content work.
Ability to code or read code closely enough to keep technical examples accurate.
Genuine interest in how AI is changing software development and a point of view on what developers and their agents need.
Ability to engage deeply with technical material and earn the trust of engineers and developers.
Strong writing ability, including explaining complex topics clearly with scannable structure and a distinct point of view.
Strong judgment, clear communication, and the ability to prioritize pragmatically in a startup environment.
Constructive, positive, and collaborative working style.

Experience building or leading a developer experience, developer advocacy, documentation, or technical content function.
