About the role

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop comprehensive test plans based on requirements.
  • Trace test cases to requirements, set pass/fail criteria, and refine requirements based on test outcomes.
  • Develop and implement test plans across multiple test layers, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), dyno, and vehicle testing.
  • Define tooling needs to execute tests and evaluate results efficiently.
  • Collaborate with systems, firmware, and hardware engineers to ensure implementations meet product requirements and desired functionality.
  • Investigate firmware issues through data analysis and issue reproduction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Systems Engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience developing or testing embedded software.
  • Experience with test automation using Python or other scripting languages.
  • Experience writing code with source control, especially Git.
  • Hands-on experience debugging complex systems involving networked microprocessors and software-controlled electrical or electromechanical devices.
  • Experience parsing and analyzing log data and source code and identifying root causes.
  • Positive attitude, teamwork, and ability to quickly adapt to changes.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Working knowledge of drive units, power steering, actuators, braking systems, powertrain, and their interactions.
  • Experience with Python testing frameworks such as Robot Framework and pytest.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment systems.
  • Experience using JIRA, TestRail, Polarion, Jama, DOORS, or Xray.
  • Experience in systems validation or integration.
  • Ability to develop test plans based on FMEA and vehicle safety concept analysis.
