About the role

Responsibilities

  • Define, build, and maintain dashboards that show product performance and surface anomalies.
  • Quantify opportunities and help set realistic, measurable key results grounded in data.
  • Plan, instrument, and analyze A/B tests and other causal analyses; make ship, iterate, or kill recommendations.
  • Partner on personalization, ranking, and incentives initiatives from framing through measurement.
  • Produce clear readouts for product and leadership and translate findings into decisions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data science or product analytics, ideally for a consumer product with a fast, iterative development cycle.
  • Strong SQL and proficiency in Python or R for analysis and modeling.
  • Expertise designing A/B tests, reasoning about power and bias, and applying causal-inference methods when experimentation is not possible.
  • Strong foundation in statistics and judgment in selecting appropriate methods.
  • Product sense and ability to turn ambiguous questions into effective analyses and concrete recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, including explaining complex data to nontechnical audiences.
  • Comfortable working independently in a lean, ambiguous, fast-moving environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with personalization, ranking, recommendation, or pricing and incentive systems.
  • Familiarity with prediction markets, trading, cryptocurrency, or other real-money marketplaces.
  • Experience building experimentation practices.
