About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct engaging training sessions for restaurant operators on POS functionality, configurations, reporting, and SpotOn's software suite
  • Create comprehensive training materials including user guides, tutorials, video demonstrations, and interactive modules
  • Conduct remote training sessions via Zoom and other virtual platforms
  • Host interactive Q&A sessions to address client questions and concerns in real-time
  • Foster collaborative learning environments with group activities, case studies, and role-playing exercises
  • Maintain detailed documentation of training sessions, participant feedback, and compile training reports
  • Regularly review and update training materials to reflect software updates and industry best practices

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of restaurant management systems and software solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Proficiency in virtual training platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to different learning styles
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to client concerns
  • Excellent note-taking and documentation skills
  • Ability to convey complex step-by-step instructions in layman's terms
  • 2+ years experience in restaurant operations, management, or hospitality role
  • 1+ year experience implementing and/or supporting SpotOn POS
  • 1+ year experience delivering engaging and interactive training sessions (in-person and remote)
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience creating multimedia training content
  • Background in instructional design or adult learning principles
