About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead Portfolio Reviews & Diligence: Manage the monthly financial review process for the entire customer base. Direct Associate support for data gathering, responsible for analysis and identifying red flags in financial statements.
  • Conduct Active Risk Management: Identify deteriorating credits or anomalies, trigger deeper reviews, lead diligence calls with borrowers.
  • Prepare Credit Modifications: Evaluate requests for line increases, term adjustments; write loan modification templates/memos with credit diligence and justification.
  • Own Compliance & Operations: Oversee and improve KYB/KYC, UCC lien filing, and lien management processes; suggest vendors or improvements.
  • Build & Maintain Analytics: Design portfolio monitoring dashboards aggregating credit, collateral, and operational data; use SQL, Python, Looker for automation and anomaly detection.
  • Analyze Trends: Monitor borrower and portfolio trends (CRR migration, LGD, DSO, exposure concentration) to inform strategies.
  • Drive Process Improvement: Improve internal reporting and data quality using low-code tools (SQL, Python, Airtable, Looker, Power Automate).

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in commercial lending, credit risk, or portfolio management (Asset-Based Lending or Working Capital experience highly preferred).
  • Hands-on experience reviewing financial statements, identifying risk factors, writing credit memos or loan modification justifications; comfortable discussing with CFOs.
  • Familiarity with lending operations: KYB/KYC regulations, UCC lien perfection, compliance management.
  • Proven experience with data analytics tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
  • Working knowledge of low-code/automation tools (Power Automate, Airtable, Zapier) a strong plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or related field (MBA or CFA a plus).
