Autonomy Engineer - Planning and Controls
Develops and implements onboard motion-planning and control software for autonomous drones, from low-level stabilization to task-specific behavior. The role requires experience controlling real hardware, robotics algorithms, strong software engineering practices, and high proficiency in C++.

Responsibilities
- Conceive, design, implement, simulate, evaluate, and fly new motion planning strategies.
- Work across the software system to define the data and interfaces needed for successful motion planning.
- Develop, tune, and evaluate low-level controllers.
- Work with the UX team to explore and define planning/UI boundaries for new interaction paradigms.
Requirements
- Experience writing software that controls real hardware, such as robotic arms, self-driving cars, or mobile robots.
- Knowledge of configuration and free-space representations.
- Knowledge of modern and classical control design methods.
- Experience with dynamic programming.
- Experience with nonlinear optimization.
- Strong software engineering foundation and commitment to clean, well-architected code.
- High proficiency in C++.
