Build, train, optimize, and deploy computer vision and multimodal deep learning models for an autonomous flight system. The role requires hands-on deep learning experience, strong Python/PyTorch skills, and an advanced degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deploy computer vision and multimodal deep learning models for an autonomy system.
- Use real-world video and sensor data for data mining, curation, labeling, training, and evaluation.
- Use large-scale synthetic data to power deep learning algorithms.
- Apply foundation models for knowledge distillation and label-efficient learning.
- Refine and optimize models for low latency on embedded hardware.
- Develop evaluation benchmarks and metrics to quantify autonomous-system performance.
- Contribute across software areas as a generalist when needed.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience designing, training, and deploying deep learning models.
- Ability to deliver high-quality, well-architected code using Python and PyTorch; C++ preferred.
- Ability to apply academic papers and literature for rapid iteration.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, highly technical environment.
- Comfort navigating and delivering within a complex codebase.
- Strong communication skills.
