Senior AI Engineer

This hands-on senior engineer will lead the practical adoption of AI across engineering by prototyping, deploying, and scaling LLM-powered workflows and internal tools. The role requires strong Python and software engineering fundamentals, production AI experience, and the ability to drive measurable improvements through influence.

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Explore and evaluate new AI models, tools, frameworks, and techniques.
  • Identify engineering problems, prototype AI-driven solutions, and measure their impact.
  • Package successful experiments into workflows, tooling, and engineering best practices.
  • Write clean, production-quality code for AI-enabled systems and automation.
  • Define and track engineering-efficiency metrics such as cycle time, developer throughput, and time to resolution.
  • Lead adoption through training, documentation, and collaboration.
  • Integrate LLMs and AI assistants into code review, development, testing, and documentation workflows.
  • Build automation and orchestration for repetitive or high-friction processes.
  • Develop internal AI-powered tools to improve decision-making and productivity.
  • Evaluate and deploy emerging AI capabilities.

Requirements

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience building production systems.
  • Practical experience applying machine learning or artificial intelligence in production settings.
  • Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, and the current AI tooling ecosystem.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage ambiguity.
  • Strong communication skills with engineers and senior leadership.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for keeping up with a rapidly evolving field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with agent orchestration frameworks and multi-step AI workflows.
  • Familiarity with emerging AI tooling standards and protocols, such as MCP.
  • Background in trading, fintech, or other performance-sensitive environments.
  • Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: $200,000–$300,000.
  • Eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
