This role involves analyzing, profiling, and debugging software, developing systems for memory and thread management, and building core libraries for high-performance code.
At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $193,930 and $291,150 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
Build and optimize real-time video streaming systems for Nuro's teleoperations platform, focusing on networking algorithms, bandwidth estimation, and reliable vehicle-to-operator communication.
Design and optimize real-time networking systems for remote vehicle operation, focusing on multi-carrier bonding, custom congestion control, and low-latency video streaming over cellular.
Builds and improves HD map generation pipelines, scalable workflows for map data management, and APIs for internal access to support autonomous driving systems. Requires BS in CS/Robotics and expertise in C++, Python, distributed systems, and performance optimization.
Staff Back-End Software Engineer on the Resilience team building high-scale, fault-tolerant systems for Okta's Workforce Identity Cloud. Lead design and implementation of microservices, frameworks, and reliability improvements in a cloud-native environment; requires 8+ years experience with Java (Golang a plus), deep cloud and distributed systems expertise.
