Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the monthly accounting close, ensuring it is timely, consistent, and accurate.
• Partner with external accounting providers on monthly close procedures and reconciliations.
• Work with department leaders on expense tagging, allocations, and reporting.
• Prepare the reporting package after close.
• Build revenue reporting processes for self-serve and enterprise business lines.
• Drive automation using newly implemented accounting and reporting tooling.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, vendor management, accounting policies, sales tax, and 1099s.
• Establish and document internal controls appropriate for a growing company.
• Maintain accurate reconciliations and audit-ready documentation.
• Improve accounting processes, policies, reporting, tooling, and internal systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience across public accounting, senior accountant, or accounting manager roles.
• Hands-on ownership of month-end close and account reconciliations.
• Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Audit experience, including preparing PBC support and workpapers.
• Experience with accounting tools and systems.
• Strong spreadsheet formulas and tooling skills.
• Ability to work with high volumes of transactions and unstructured data.
• Highly self-directed and comfortable operating without a fully established playbook.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to operate effectively in ambiguity.

Nice to Have

• CPA or progress toward a CPA.
• Experience working with external tax and accounting partners.
• Experience in a finance or accounting role at a high-growth startup.
• Knowledge of usage-based revenue recognition.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $90,000 to $140,000, depending on experience.
• Equity range: $50,000 to $150,000.
