Own and scale Nango’s cloud platform, customer-controlled deployments, infrastructure automation, reliability, and data layer. The role requires 10+ years in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE work, with deep Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, database, and compliance experience.

Responsibilities
- Own and scale the cloud infrastructure behind the open-source platform, including compute, networking, and the data layer.
- Lead bring-your-own-cloud (BYOC) deployments, including provisioning, upgrades, and observability.
- Productize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and GitOps foundations for a small autonomous team.
- Establish meaningful SLOs and a trusted incident-management process.
- Lead the data layer, including PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and ClickHouse.
- Own infrastructure-related security and compliance efforts, including SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, enterprise security reviews, and penetration tests.
- Shape the technical roadmap and company strategy through high-ownership decisions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles.
- Proven experience operating high-traffic production systems.
- Deep production Kubernetes experience and sound judgment about when not to use it.
- Experience operating software in customer-controlled environments, such as BYOC, single-tenant, on-premises, or air-gapped deployments.
- Deep AWS expertise; exposure to Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure is helpful.
- Strong Terraform experience, including reusable modules, safe state management, and multi-account topologies.
- Strong database expertise, especially PostgreSQL, including performance optimization, migrations under load, and replication.
- Experience with SOC 2 or ISO audits, penetration tests, and security reviews.
- Product mindset and developer empathy; ability to investigate customer issues and build fixes.
- Experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Strong communication, proactive ownership, reliability, and comfort working remotely in an autonomous startup environment.
- Must be based in North America, Latin America, or Europe.

- Experience with Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with BYOC, single-tenant, on-premises, or air-gapped environments.
- Experience with GDPR and HIPAA compliance.
