About the role
Responsibilities
Build Traba's product on top of AI agents, wiring frontier models and existing agents into real product across the stack.
Set the standard for applying agents to automate the staffing pipeline (sourcing, vetting, matching, placing workers).
Architect and lead core systems, from real-time matching to autonomous vetting pipelines powered by ML and agents.
Own architecture for the platform, anticipating needs 1-2 years out.
Drive backend performance, reliability, and scale.
Partner with CTO on key architectural decisions, iterate on roadmap, and build foundational platform.
Go where priorities are: infrastructure for agents, matching, data, or scaling problems.
Requirements
7+ years with TypeScript/Node.js or Python, PostgreSQL, and messaging (Kafka or RabbitMQ).
Track record of shipping and leading projects at scale with high velocity.
Deep full-stack experience designing performant, scalable applications with expertise in APIs, data modeling, query optimization, and distributed systems.
Voracious learner who moves easily from API design to deployment infrastructure.
Comfort owning ambiguity and direction in an early-stage environment.
Applier who sets the bar for integrating AI/LLM systems in production (experience building or integrating AI/LLM systems is a plus).

Compensation
Competitive salary in the range of $240,000 - $300,000.
