Responsibilities
Perform troubleshooting of Linux-based computer equipment; document actions and initiate corrective action.

Attend laboratory meetings; present findings to staff.
Attend and present data at one national scientific meeting.
Develop strategies with supervisor and laboratory personnel to plan subsequent experiments.
Collaborate with staff on planning and executing development of new computing tools.
Interact with scientists from other organizations on related research projects.
Requirements
Field of study in Computer Science, Information Sciences, Computer Administration Management and Security, Computer and Information Systems, or Computer Programming and Data Processing.
Proficiency in Python, Linux, Unix, Bash, Git, and R.
Skills in Linux Administration, Data Management, and Data Analysis.

Background in biomedical or drug abuse research support.
Operate solar-powered high-altitude UAS from hangar to flight and back: set up test sites, perform preflight, pilot from ground control station, monitor telemetry, troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/software issues in the field, and feed data back to engineers.
