Senior Data Analyst

The Senior Data Analyst will analyze large-scale content data, build foundational datasets and scalable analytics products, and translate findings into recommendations for cross-functional teams. The role requires 6+ years of analytics experience, advanced SQL, strong stakeholder communication, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize large amounts of data from disparate sources and communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Monitor key operating metrics and provide timely insights on trends influencing content performance, content producer outcomes, and team goals.
  • Use internal ETL/ELT tools to build and maintain foundational datasets supporting accurate, consistent, and scalable analysis.
  • Build scalable analytics products and tools, including dashboards, reporting workflows, alerts, and dynamic data applications.
  • Use AI and emerging tools to accelerate analytics workflows, support data product development, and improve stakeholder engagement with data while validating accuracy and protecting sensitive information.
  • Partner with Content Partnerships, Editorial, Product, Engineering, Strategy, Product Analytics, and global teams to frame business questions, define success, incorporate feedback, and turn insights into tools and recommendations.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience in business and data analytics in fast-paced, data-driven environments.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience building foundational datasets, data models, or ETL/ELT workflows for repeatable analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Experience using AI or emerging tools to augment analytics workflows, with a clear approach to validation, data protection, and ownership of deliverables.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex analysis into clear insights, narratives, and recommendations.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders, clarify ambiguous questions, define success metrics, prioritize by impact, and incorporate feedback.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Python, R, or similar scripting languages for data analysis, automation, or prototyping.

Compensation

  • Base salary: $123,684–$254,644 USD.
  • Eligible for equity.
  • This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
