About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop action-oriented insights to drive product strategy through observational causal analysis and experiment meta-analysis; communicate results to stakeholders up to C-suite
  • Uplevel experimentation practices through guiding A/B test design, execution, and deep-dive analyses
  • Create new ETLs, tables, dashboards, and self-serve tools for data scientists and cross-functional partners
  • Design, evaluate, and measure team-level KPIs to enable quarterly goal setting and demonstrate impact
  • Engage regularly with stakeholders to gather feedback and share progress to ensure alignment on business goals
  • Mentor junior data scientists and business partners in data science best practices to increase data literacy

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Operations Research
  • For M.S. holders: 5+ years industry experience in applied science or data science roles
  • For Ph.D. holders: 4+ years industry experience
  • Expert-level SQL and programming in R or Python
  • Deep understanding of online experimentation (A/B testing), causal inference, and statistical techniques
  • Strong technical communication and data storytelling skills
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience mentoring junior data scientists
  • Prior work in consumer product areas (ads, safety, growth)
