Employment Authorization Specialist
Provides administrative and database support for NIH employment authorization and immigration case processing, including preparing vetting packages, maintaining records, and coordinating onboarding. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business Law or Human Resource Management and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities
- Review, edit, and enter foreign national information from forms and the DIS Portal into the DIS database.
- Prepare immigration packages for pre-sponsorship vetting and renewal with the HHS Office of National Security.
- Confirm foreign national data requiring FNMS/ONS submission.
- Draft Electronic Notices of Action (eNOAs) for Immigration Specialist review.
- Collect and prepare immigration documentation for clearance and waiver adjudication.
- Maintain Key Contact information for NIH Institutes, Centers, Offices, and FDA Centers.
- Create cases, maintain databases, and prepare reports, tracking analyses, spreadsheets, graphs, charts, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Maintain physical and electronic files, records, calendars, and contact databases.
- Assist with management and enhancement of the nVISTAS enterprise database and associated web portal.
- Update website content, maintain peripheral hardware, provide software support, and test and audit software functionality.
- Support onboarding for temporary workers and new hires, including workstation setup, network access, welcome communications, and group/Listserv enrollment.
- Provide front-office coverage, answer phones, handle mailings, scan and ship petitions, and provide other administrative support.
- Liaise with external technology sources.
- Provide on-site services, with telework flexibility potentially available after three months.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Law or Human Resource Management.
- Expertise with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary: $65,000-$70,000 USD.
