Embedded Software Engineer
Develop and integrate complex embedded software for production vehicles and the Vehicle OS, working directly with automotive customers across Japan and the United States. The role requires 5+ years of embedded software experience, strong C++ expertise, automotive systems knowledge, and fluency in English and Japanese.

Responsibilities
- Integrate customer software features into the Vehicle OS using C and C++.
- Write embedded vehicle platform software in C, C++, and Simulink in response to customer requests.
- Project-manage vehicle integration timelines and execution to meet Start of Production (SoP) milestones.
- Establish vehicle integration and testing strategies across Japan and the United States time zones.
- Influence technical strategy while balancing new features, scaling challenges, and technical debt.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality software that fulfills project requirements.
Requirements
- Master's degree in computer science, robotics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience shipping complex embedded software.
- Proven experience designing and implementing solutions to complex architectural problems.
- Production experience writing or integrating C++-based software.
- Understanding of automotive electronic systems and how to set up and debug them.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Japanese, with the ability to work effectively in a bilingual business environment.
Nice to Have
- Automotive industry experience and familiarity with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Simulink, and AUTOSAR.
- Direct customer management experience.
- Experience developing software for large projects, including CI/CD and release processes.
- Skills in adjacent areas such as CAD, 3D printing, or PCB design.
