Senior Software Engineer, AI Operations, GPS
Own the operational reliability, governance, and lifecycle maintenance of production AI solutions for public-sector and enterprise customers. The role combines software engineering, MLOps, incident management, automation, model monitoring, and senior client communication.

Responsibilities
- Own the long-term technical health, performance, and stability of AI solutions deployed across strategic public-sector partners.
- Serve as the technical gatekeeper during the transition from delivery to maintenance, reviewing code, prompts, architecture, and documentation.
- Manage tiered SLAs, incident response, root-cause analysis, and P1/P2 mitigations.
- Monitor production model performance, latency, and data drift; manage prompt configuration repositories and regression testing for endpoint updates.
- Classify client requests as routine maintenance or system evolution and benchmark new AI models.
- Build self-healing data pipelines, automated RAG indexing synchronization, and telemetry tooling.
- Act as the senior technical interface for government and enterprise IT stakeholders, translating AI operational issues into business impacts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, MLOps, SRE, or forward-deployed engineering in data-intensive or production-AI environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, REST/gRPC APIs, and cloud architecture.
- Hands-on experience with MLOps tooling, vector databases, and LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Understanding of prompt version control, model benchmarking, evaluation datasets, RAG pipelines, and data-drift detection.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD for machine-learning pipelines.
- Strong technical communication and client expectation-management skills.
