Responsibilities

Develop and support software products for research projects and commercial release.
Write new software code, primarily for Mission System and support tools.
Fix software bugs and maintain existing source code.
Complete development tasks according to agreed schedules and communicate risks or delays promptly.
Collaborate with developers to generate ideas, solve bugs, and design software applications.

Requirements

Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent overseas qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to solve complex problems independently and collaboratively.
Reliability and ability to work to schedules.
Experience designing and implementing software modules and maintaining or updating source code according to company standards.
Strong C++, JavaScript, and React development skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas to customers or in technical reports.

Experience with GIS mapping services such as OpenStreetMap, ArcGIS, or GeoServer.
Experience with interactive map libraries such as Leaflet.
Experience with video-processing libraries such as FFmpeg or GStreamer.
Experience with frontend UI/UX design.
