Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
- Develop and contribute to project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring all project milestones are achieved.
- Coordinate cross-functional resources (engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, quality, and HR) to support project goals.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, changes, and obstacles to ensure successful delivery.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on assigned projects.
- Prepare and deliver regular project updates, dashboards, and reports to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Support decision-making by gathering data and information across functions and presenting cleanly to interested parties.
Process and Performance Management
- Implement standardized project management tools and methodologies to improve consistency and quality of outcomes.
- Identify, analyze, and recommend process improvements within the facility’s operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Financial and Resource Oversight
- Track project costs and financial performance, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
- Coordinate with procurement and finance to manage vendor contracts, purchase orders, and project-related expenses.
- Allocate and manage internal resources effectively to support project needs without disrupting ongoing operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Experience supporting or managing projects in manufacturing, industrial, or operational environments, with preference for experience in:
- Transportation of hazardous materials, including radiological and fissile materials in accordance with 49 CFR 173 and 10 CFR 71.
- Nuclear fuel facility licensing under NRC (10 CFR 70) and DOE (10 CFR 830) regulations.
- Management of government contracts and funding awards, including response to DOE funding opportunities and execution from award through project delivery.
- Production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or Primavera P6.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and experience with data analysis tools is preferred.
