Summary

Tax Accounting Intern role for current accounting students to gain hands-on experience with tax processes, state/local returns, and research at a flexible part-time schedule.

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist tax processes including processing tax-exempt certificates, filing state and local tax returns, and completing daily business tasks in the tax department
  • Research tax credits and incentives outside of normal daily business tasks
  • Commit to a flexible schedule starting 7 September 2026, continuing part-time (15–20 hours a week) during the academic school year

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in accounting
  • Experience with reconciliation and identifying discrepancies
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines using organization skills
  • Proficiency with Excel including shortcuts and functions

Nice-to-Haves

  • Eagerness to learn complex accounting entries and work toward solutions
  • Problem-solving skills and willingness to ask for help when needed
  • Curiosity about AI tools and comfort using them to streamline research, organize data, or improve workflows
